BIOGRAPHY

Emma Woodward is an American violinist currently based in Knoxville, TN. Known for her versatility and exuberance, Woodward captivates audiences performing classical, jazz and fiddle-style music around Tennessee and California.

She has appeared alongside singers Michael Bublé (Fresno, CA), Dionne Warwick (Modesto, CA) and Johnny Mathis (Modesto, CA) and is an active performer in the Symphony of the Mountains in Kingsport, TN, Brevard Philharmonic in Brevard, NC and is Concertmaster of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the Johnson City Orchestra in Johnson City, TN, the Sequoia Symphony in Visalia, CA and in renowned venues Disney Concert Hall with the Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy (FOOSA), Carnegie Hall with the HPS Orchestra Program and Disneyland Parks with the Simba School of Music.

Born in Fresno, CA, Woodward began violin lessons at the age of seven. Also a pianist and percussionist of 16 years, she enjoys utilizing her musicianship in various contexts. She was awarded the Fresno Arts Council Horizon Award 2021 for her profound artistry and involvement in the community. Other honors include the Kline Music Scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the TMTA Collegiate Strings Competition 1st Place Winner, UTCOM Celebration of Excellence 2nd Place Winner and a participant in the 2025 Clazz International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy.
